City & Culture

Smithville, as well as the surrounding area,  has something to offer everybody. Just 15 minutes away you will find  lakes, parks, and great marinas. Book a canoeing excursion on the Caney Fork River, visit the Appalachian Center for Craft and have lunch at their sweet little cafe. The Short Mountain Distillery  produces small-batch moonshine & bourbon and they offer guided tours & a tasting room. Their Sunday Brunch menu is one of our favorites! We love to sit on the deck, feel the fresh breeze and just have an actual whole conversation, just sayin'.

Since we are close to many premier middle Tennessee locations like Fall Creek Falls State Park, Burgess Falls, Center Hill Lake, Rock Island State Park and more you might want to pack your walking shoes and camera. Edgar Evins State Park is also a hop, skip,  and a jump away from our front porch.  Whether you like hiking, fishing, rocking out or picnicing under a tree we are available to offer our suggestions to help you make awesome memories. It's what we do.

Dining

Local hot spots offer choices  ranging from Mexican tapas to gourmet dishes at nearby Short Mountain Distillery. Don't forget you can venture into Nashville. One of our favorites is Acme Feed &  Seed right on Broadway. After you fill your belly you can stay for amazing stage performances by rising stars or  you can people watch at one of the downtown honky tonks.
